2.5 crore toll collection in 24 hours at Bangabandhu Bridge


The number of vehicles on the Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway has increased ahead of Eid. In the last 24 hours, 25 thousand 923 vehicles have crossed the Bangabandhu Bridge. 2 crore 48 lakh 87 thousand 100 taka has been collected in this toll.

Bangabandhu Bridge Site Office Executive Engineer Ahsanul Kabir Pavel confirmed the matter on Tuesday (June 11) afternoon.

According to Bangabandhu Bridge East Site Office sources, 25 thousand 923 vehicles crossed the Bangabandhu Bridge from 12:00 midnight on Sunday (June 9) to 12:00 midnight on Monday (10 June). The toll collected is 2 crore 48 lakh 87 thousand 100 taka. Among them, 12 thousand 990 vehicles pass through Setu East Toll Plaza in Tangail section. Toll collected is 1 crore 23 lakh 34 thousand 450 taka. At the same time, 12 thousand 933 vehicles crossed the western part of Sirajganj bridge. During this time, the toll collected was 1 crore 25 lakh 52 thousand 650 taka.

Bangabandhu Bridge Site Office Executive Engineer Ahsanul Kabir Pavel said that the number of vehicles crossing is increasing before Eid. All preparations have been made to avoid any disturbance while crossing the bridge. He hopes that the Eid journey of the homebound people will be comfortable this time as well.
