22 more people in hospital with dengue

22 people have been admitted to hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours due to Aedes mosquito-borne dengue fever. However, no new death information was found at this time. As a result, the number of deaths due to this mosquito-borne disease has remained constant at 46 this year.

This information has been reported in the regular report on dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Friday (July 5) evening.

According to the report, 22 people have been admitted to the hospital due to dengue fever in the last 24 hours. Among the victims are 13 people from the two city corporation areas of Dhaka. Besides, 7 patients in Dhaka Division, one in Chittagong and one in Khulna Division have been admitted to hospital.

From January 1 to July 5 this year, a total of 3,866 people have been admitted to hospital due to dengue infection. Among them 2 thousand 337 men (60.50 percent) and 1 thousand 529 women (39.50 percent). At this time, 3 thousand 595 people were discharged from the hospital.

In addition, in 2022, a total of 62 thousand 382 people were admitted to the hospital with dengue. That year, 281 people died from the mosquito-borne disease.
