3 black marketers arrested with 115 tickets from Sararchar station


Police arrested 3 black marketers with 115 tickets from Sararchar railway station in Kishoreganj.

On Saturday (July 6) around 10 o’clock in the night, the railway-police raided Sararchar railway station in Bajitpur upazila of the district and arrested them. A regular case is pending against them at Kishoreganj Railway Police Station.

The arrested three black marketeers are the son of Abdul Motalib of South Sararchar area of ​​the upazila. Bappi Mia (19), son of Dilu Mia of the same area. Ibrahim Mia (22) and Balla Sarachar area. Jamal’s son is proof (23).

During the arrest, 115 tickets of different trains, two monitors, two CPUs, two printers, two keyboards and two mobile phones were seized from them.

In this regard Dhaka Railway District Superintendent of Police (SP) Md. Anwar Hossain said that during the preliminary interrogation, the arrested persons admitted to the black market of tickets. They used NID and mobile number of different people to open numerous IDs on Railseva apps and collect tickets. They used to advertise tickets for various dates and destinations on their Facebook page. As a result, the followers of that page and group used to send messages for tickets mentioning the date. Later, group and page admin Bappi Mia (arrested) used to contact the buyer on messenger and sell tickets at a higher price. He used to provide the picture of the ticket to the buyer through WhatsApp.
