9 people are in jail in connection with the stabbing of five BNP leaders


The court has ordered nine people to be sent to jail in connection with the attack on five people at the BNP rally in Natore. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate on Sunday (July 7). Roshan Alam ordered them to be jailed without granting bail.

They are Rashedul Islam Koel, Kanan, Hriday, Salim, Sajib, Amirul Islam Johnny, Prince, Mohan and Mahatab. Besides, five people were granted bail in the same case.

Court Police Inspector Mostafa Kamal said that on the morning of July 3, five BNP leaders including District BNP Acting Convener Shahidul Islam Bachchu, BNP central leader Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul were hacked with sharp weapons and injured. Shahidul Islam Bachchu’s wife Sultana Parveen filed a case in Natore police station naming 16 people as plaintiff in this incident. Police arrested three people in this case on Saturday evening.

Meanwhile, on Sunday afternoon, the accused in the case appeared in court and applied for bail. Later Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate. Roshan Alam ordered them to be jailed without granting bail.
