A dead body was recovered from Shahbagh in the capital

The police recovered the body of a 60-year-old man from Doel Chatwar area in Shahbagh of the capital. The name of the person is not known.

On Sunday (July 7) around 6:30 in the evening, the man was rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Deputy Inspector (SI) of Shahbag police station Arafat said, we went to Doel Chatwar area after receiving the information and found the person lying unconscious on the road. Later, when he was rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical, the doctor declared him dead.

He also said that it is known from the people of the area that the deceased was drunk and addicted to drugs. It is initially believed that he died due to illness. The exact cause of death will be known after the autopsy report.

He also said that efforts are being made to identify the name and identity of the person through fingerprints.
