Aedes larvae in Mohammadi housing, 10 establishments fined


The mobile court of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has fined 1 lakh 32 thousand taka to 10 structures and houses, including an under-construction building built by Mohammadi Housing, a private housing developer, for finding Aedes mosquito larvae.

This penalty was imposed by 7 mobile courts run by the Dengue Prevention and Aedes Mosquito Breeding Corporation.

Corporation’s Elephant Road, Motijheel, Arambagh, around Notre Dame College area, Jigatla, Becharam Deuri, Ali Hossain Road, Moulvibazar, Chawkbazar and adjoining areas, Jhilpar, Madrasa Road, Brahman Chiron, Golapbagh, Dhalpur, Mander Samar Uddin Road on Sunday (July 7) , Mugda, Smritidhara residential areas, these operations were conducted in road number 8 and 10 area.

In this, the Executive Magistrate Taib-ur-Rehman Ashiq in Zone No. 3 conducted raids on 68 houses and establishments in Jigatla area of ​​Ward No. 14. During the operation, Mohammadi Housing, a private housing development company, collected a fine of Tk 1 lakh in 2 cases as mosquito larvae were found in an under-construction building and another dilapidated building adjacent to it.

Besides, a total of 416 houses and establishments have been visited in 10 regions. A total of 1 lakh 32 thousand rupees fine was collected in 10 cases due to mosquito larvae being found in 10 houses and buildings under construction.
