Alvarez argues with Guardiola, wants to go to the Olympics

The Paris Olympics will begin at the end of July. By then, the new season of European football will begin. Getting permission from clubs also becomes a big issue for footballers. Each team in the Olympics can take three players over the age of 23.

Julian Alvarez wants to be in the Argentina team. For this reason, he also requested his club Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola. Argentinian journalist Gaston Idul gave such news.

He said that Alvarez had a private conversation with Guardiola to become a partner in the Olympic team. He even argued with the coach about not getting enough opportunities to play in Manchester City. There was a lot of talk about Alvarez getting fewer chances to get on the field this season.

Alvarez is now busy training with the national team in Florida. After two friendlies against Ecuador and Guatemala, his presence in the Copa America squad is also a certainty. After winning the World Cup in 2022, this footballer wants to go to the Olympics.

The news of his spat with Guardiola sparked another rumour. According to Spanish media Marca, Atletico Madrid are interested in buying the Argentine star. Alvarez joined Manchester City from River Plate in 2022. But he spent most of his time on the club’s bench.
