Aminul is the new president of IIGAB, Junaid is the general secretary

International Internet Gateway Association Bangladesh (IIGAB) has formed a new executive committee of 11 members for the period 2024-2026. Aminul Hakim of BD Hub Limited was elected president and Ahmed Junayed of Level Three Carrier Limited became secretary general.

Other members of the Executive Committee are Senior Vice President Mohammad Salam (Sky Tel Communication Limited), Vice President Moinul Haque Siddiqui (Fiber at Home Global Limited), Vice President Saiful Siddiqui (PeerX Network Limited), Joint Secretary Maktabur Rahman (Intraglobe Communications Ltd.), Treasurer Ziaul Haque (ADN International Gateway Ltd.).

Besides, Khalid Hasan (Startrek Telecom Limited), Hasibur Rashid (Novocom Limited), Khalid Raihan (Summit Communications Limited) and Sarafatullah Zahid (Mango Teleservices Limited) will serve as directors of the organization for the period of 2024-26.

IIGAB elections were held last week. The election is contested between professionals in the Internet and telecommunications sector. A new executive committee was formed with the winners of that election.

This information was informed in a press release sent by Mahmud Saheed from IIGAB on Thursday (June 13). It said the newly elected members are rich in experience, expertise and leadership. Their joint vision and focus will lead IIGAB to a new path of success, which will ensure the progress of the Internet Gateway sector in the country.

The newly elected committee is poised to advocate for favorable policies to address the industry’s key challenges and enhance collaboration with national and international partners. Their agenda includes developing internet infrastructure, promoting cyber security and ensuring affordable and reliable internet services for all citizens.
