Arteta to extend Arsenal contract

Mikel Arteta gave Arsenal the English Premier League title last season. But in the end he lost to Manchester City. He had to finish the season from second place in the table. As such, Arteta may be at odds with the club.

Arteta’s contract with Arsenal will expire in the next 2024-25 season. However, this coach wants to sign a new contract with the club. It is expected that he will face some kind of problem if he wants to extend the term.

In an interview given to football website ‘ESPN’, Arteta said, ‘There is no update (on the contract) at this moment. What hasn’t changed is how happy I am and how valued I feel here. And how much I love representing this club.’

The Spanish coach added: ‘These things happen naturally and our relationship is so good that I don’t think there are any problems.
