At the last moment, Ecuador returned to equality, the tiebreaker will be settled


Ecuador never beat Argentina in the Copa America; But Ecuador did not let Argentina win at the scheduled time. They took the match to a tiebreaker by keeping Argentina tied at 1-1 with a last-minute goal. Argentina was leading until 92 minutes of the match. But their dreams are broken there.

Messi returned to Argentina’s eleven despite injury concerns. Di Maria lost his place in the team. However, defender Lisandro Martinez, who played for Manchester United, scored the only goal for Argentina in the match.
