‘Bangla block’ program on Sunday to demand cancellation of quota


The agitating students have announced a new program demanding cancellation of quota in government jobs. Tomorrow Sunday they will hold ‘Bangla block’ program across the country.

On Saturday (July 6) at 5:30 pm, the students lifted the blockade from Shahbagh intersection. The new program was announced before the blockade was lifted. Earlier, the protesting students blocked Shahbagh intersection at 5:15 pm.

Before lifting the blockade, Nahid Hasan, one of the coordinators of the movement, announced the new program. He said that class-exams will be boycotted in all educational institutions including universities and colleges from tomorrow. Even if the teachers end their agitation and go back to class, we will not go back to class. Our ‘Bangla Block’ program will be held from 3 pm on Sunday. Students of all universities, colleges in their respective areas and students of educational institutions in metropolitan and district cities will blockade in their respective cities.

Earlier, Hasnat Abdullah, another coordinator of the movement, spoke. He said, today the police misbehaved with us. Pointed at us and spoke. He made bad comments about Dhaka University. We will answer it on the streets.
