Bellingham was banned before the quarter-finals

Jude Bellingham was the savior of the team when England almost lost against Slovakia in the last sixteen match. In the extra time of the match (90+5) he scored a great bicycle kick to bring the team back to 1-1. After Harry Kane’s goal, England confirmed the quarter-final with a 2-1 victory.

This time England got big bad news before the quarter. Bellingham, the hero of the victory against Slovakia, is under the ban. UEFA banned him for one match.

Originally, Bellingham was banned for lewd gestures. However, he can play against Switzerland in the quarter-finals of Euro. The ban can be enforced against English attacking midfielders in any match in the next one year. Bellingham has also been fined 30,000 euros (more than 38 lakh rupees in Bangladeshi currency).

After scoring in that match, Bellingham made an obscene gesture while looking at the bench of Slovakia. However, he dismissed the matter as humorous. However, UEFA is not willing to accept such behavior in the game. That is why the organization decided to investigate to check its authenticity.

Bellingham has been banned as the investigation found him guilty under the statute of limitations.
