Blockade Dhaka-Chittagong highway again by Kubi students


Comilla University (KUBI) students once again blocked Comilla section of Dhaka-Chittagong highway demanding quota reform. This has caused severe traffic jams on both sides of the highway.

Students blocked Kotbari area of ​​Comilla Adarsh ​​Sadar Upazila on the highway at around 4 pm on Monday (July 7).

Apart from Comilla University, students of Comilla Victoria Government College, affiliated colleges of National University, various private universities and medical colleges of the district participated in the protest. They participated in the blockade as part of the ‘Bangla Blockade’ program across the country.

Ayub Hossain, a student of Comilla Victoria Government College, said, ‘The students of the whole country have only one demand, that the quota system should be abolished. They want fair distribution of jobs by abolishing quota system.

Earlier on Thursday (July 4), the students of Comilla University blocked the Dhaka-Chittagong highway for three hours. Later, they raised four demands to the District Commissioner and lifted the blockade.
