Brazil is going to the Olympics with the highest goal scorer of all time

Although Vieira da Silva is associated with her name, she is known worldwide as Marta. The legendary female footballer of Brazil is going to Paris to play the Olympic Games for the sixth time. In Tokyo, he set a record of five consecutive Olympic games. This time, the yellow jersey of Brazil will take that record higher.

The 38-year-old Brazilian announced last April that this year (2024) will be his last in the national team. His eyes were on the Olympics. Said, ‘Whether I play in the Olympics or not, I won’t be seen in the national team again in 2025.’

Marta, who has set record after record in women’s football, can retire by playing the Olympics. Coach Arthur José Riberas Elias is going to Paris with the forward who scored the most goals between men and women in Brazil.

“Marta is the greatest athlete of all time and she has achieved so much,” said coach Ribers of Marta’s team. He is still playing well and deserves to be on the list. That’s right, it’s a challenge for me to find a way to get the highest level of play from him. But he (Marta) knows what to do in the field.’

Marta has been playing for the Orlando Pride of the United States since 2017 in club football. She played in the Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand last year. It was his sixth participation. Brazil failed to reach the knockout stage in this World Cup.
