BSF returned the dead Bangladeshi’s body after a day

Md. was killed by Indian Border Guard Force BSF at Nagarvita border of Thakurgaon’s Baliadangi Upazila. BSF has returned the body of Raju (19).

BSF handed over Raju’s body to BGB and police at Jagdal BOP border of upazila at around 10:30 pm on Saturday (July 6).

Baliadangi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Firoz Kabir confirmed the matter and said that the BSF handed over the body of the deceased Raju to the BGB in the presence of the police of both countries. The body has been handed over to the family of the deceased.


Earlier, a BGB-BSF flag meeting was held this afternoon in the wake of the killing of a Bangladeshi by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF). BGB protested the killing in the meeting.

In the early hours of Friday, Raju along with some people went to enter India illegally through the area adjacent to Pillar No. 376 of the Nagarvita border of the upazila. At that time, Raju was killed on the spot when the Indian border guards fired at them.
