Flood affected 15 districts, affected 2 million people

State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief said that 15 districts of the country have been affected by the ongoing floods and about two million people have been affected. Mohibbur Rahman.

The state minister gave this information in a press conference on Saturday (July 6) at the secretariat regarding the flood situation caused by the recent upstream water and heavy rains in different parts of the country.

Sylhet, Sunamganj, Netrakona, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Rangpur, Jamalpur, Gaibandha, Feni, Rangamati, Bogra, Kurigram, Sirajganj, Lalmonirhat and Cox’s Bazar districts have been affected by the floods, the state minister said.

Mohibubar Rahman said that 3 crore 10 lakh cash, 8 thousand 700 tons of relief rice, 58 thousand 500 bags of dry and other food and 60 lakh rupees have been allocated for the purchase of baby food in 15 flood affected districts.

He also said that the flood is spreading every day.
