Flood situation worsens in Kurigram

Flood situation worsened in Kurigram. More than one lakh people of 9 upazilas of the district have suffered due to flood. They are in extreme trouble especially with domesticated animals. The families have to live with cows and goats without finding a way. Many are spending the night in boats under the open sky.

There is no way of communication in these upazilas except by boat. Even if there is rice and dal at home, many people can cook it and eat it. Lack of clean drinking water and sanitation exacerbated the suffering. Although the relief given by the district administration is less than the demand.
