Gopalganj SC fined for not playing in Premier

Gopalganj Sporting Club did not participate in the completed domestic season despite being promoted from Bangladesh Championship League to Premier League. That is why the Bangladesh Premier League has been held with one less team.

The club will have to pay a fine of 5 lakh rupees as a loss for not playing in the Premier League. This decision has been taken in the disciplinary committee meeting of Bafuf. Apart from the fine, the club’s relegation was also confirmed by the disciplinary committee. Last season, Gopalganj Sporting Club withdrew their names after registering players for a long time.

Players and officials of various clubs have been punished and fined for different periods of time due to violation of rules in some matches of the Bangladesh Premier League that ended in this meeting. Sheikh Russell Sports Club and Brothers Union have also been fined.
