Housewife with three daughters missing for three days

A housewife with three daughters has gone missing while returning from her father’s house to her husband’s house in Brahmanbaria. They went missing on their way to Akhaura upazila from Vijaynagar upazila of the district. Abdul Awal Bhuiyan, the father of the missing housewife, made a general diary (GD) at the Vijaynagar police station on Saturday (June 8) in the afternoon.

The missing persons are housewife Khaleda Akhter Ritu (28), wife of Ataur Rahman Bhuiya of Bijoypur village of Akhaura South Union, her three daughters Tabassum Akhter (10), Tanisha Akhter (7) and Humaira Akhtar (5).

Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan, the husband of the missing housewife, said that on Sunday (June 2), his wife went to visit her father’s house in Mirashani (Bhuiyan house) of Vijaynagar upazila with her three daughters. Last Friday around 11:30 am, she came to Vijaynagar’s Singerbil Bazar in a well-known auto-rickshaw to come home to Akhaura with her three daughters. Later got down from this auto-rickshaw and boarded another auto-rickshaw. Even if he did not reach home with his children in the evening, he called his father-in-law and found out that they had left for home in the morning. Even after searching the surrounding relatives, hospitals and other areas, no trace of them was found.

Auto driver Suman said, I take them from the front of the house to the Singerbil Bazar. Later transfer to another autorickshaw to reach Akhaura Bypass.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Vijayanagar police station in this regard. Asadul Islam said, I found a GD of a housewife with three children missing. We are investigating the matter.
