How India can go to the final without playing the semis

The four teams of this year’s T20 World Cup semi-finals have been confirmed. Afghanistan joined England, South Africa, India. Both the semi-final matches will be held on June 27 Bangladesh time.

Today, India will face England at 8:30 PM Bangladesh time. However, India has a chance to go to the final without playing in this match. How? That’s why the match has to be washed away in the rain. Or at least less than five overs.

Reserve day kept for Afghanistan-South Africa first semi-final; But India-England will play the second semi-final. There is no reserve day for that match. However, if necessary, an extra time of up to 250 minutes will be tried in the match field.

However if the match is washed out by rain without a ball being bowled or no result is possible after the extra allotted time, then India will advance to the final. The team will qualify for the finals based on their good performance in the Super Eight.

India are champions of Super Eight Group One. On the other hand, England came as the runners-up of the group tour and reached the last four. That’s why India will be ahead. Basically, it was decided not to have a reserve day so that the teams playing in the second semi-final get enough rest before the final.

According to AQI Weather, Guyana has an 88% chance of rain and an 18% chance of thunderstorms in the Thursday morning forecast. The match is scheduled to start at 10:30 am local time, which is 8:30 pm Bangladesh time.
