Inflation eased to 0.17 percent in June


In June, the last month of the recently concluded financial year, overall inflation has slightly decreased to 9.72 percent. Which was 9.89 percent in May. General, food and non-food sectors experienced a slight decline in inflation.

This information has come out in the updated report published by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) on Sunday (July 7).

According to the report, the price inflation of food products decreased to 10.42 percent in June, which was 10.76 percent in May.

On the other hand, non-food inflation stood at 9.15 percent in June, which was 9.19 percent in May.

Apart from this, the prices of house rent, furniture, household goods, medical services, transport and educational materials decreased slightly in June.
