It is recommended to make the process of selection of beneficiary categories transparent


The Standing Committee of the Ministry of Social Welfare has recommended that the process of selection of beneficiary categories under social programs should be done transparently.

On Tuesday (June 25), the third meeting was held at Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan under the chairmanship of President A, F, M Ruhul Haque.

Improving the quality of life of tea workers in the meeting; The selection of beneficiary categories under the third gender, Bede population improvement and interest-free microcredit programs and the number of beneficiaries in the last five years, the amount of allocated budget and the changes in their quality of life under these programs are discussed.

The Committee recommends that the process of selection of beneficiary categories under all types of social programs including tea workers, third gender, Bede communities and micro credit programs should be carried out transparently.

In the meeting, it was recommended to the Ministry to take necessary measures to divide the 64 districts among the members of the Standing Committee related to the Ministry of Social Welfare in order to advise the activities of various departments under the Ministry of Social Welfare.

The additional secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare, the Director General of the Directorate of Social Services and the relevant senior officials of the Ministry and the National Parliament Secretariat were present in the meeting.
