Jabi’s former vice-chancellor Professor Kazi Saleh Ahmed passed away

Former Vice-Chancellor and Statistician Professor of Jahangirnagar University (JABI). Qazi Saleh Ahmed passed away (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun).

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital on Tuesday (June 25) at 5:55 am. He was 83 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, one son and one daughter.

Dr. Kazi Saleh Ahmed’s daughter is Professor Mehrun Ahmed, Dean of School of Business and Entrepreneurship, Independent University of Bangladesh (IUB). He confirmed the news of his father’s death.

Kazi Saleh Ahmed served as the Vice-Chancellor of Jahangir University from 10 March 1988 to 1 August 1993. He was a member of the University’s Department of Statistics Alumni Association Advisory Committee.
