Khaleda Zia’s condition is stable: Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that Khaleda Zia’s condition is stable after the installation of a ‘pacemaker’. He said this in a press conference at the chairperson’s political office in Gulshan on Tuesday afternoon.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, as far as I know till morning, he was shifted to the cabin yesterday. He cannot adjust to the CCU personally, so he is shifted to the cabin with the CCU facilities. He has been stable there so far.

A program will be given to demand Khaleda’s release

BNP Secretary General said in the press conference that Khaleda Zia had expressed concern over the deterioration of health in the meeting of the party’s standing committee chaired by the party’s acting chairman Tariq Rahman on June 24.

He said that Khaleda Zia has been imprisoned only because of political revenge, which is completely illegal and unconstitutional.

He said, it has been decided to start a movement to demand Khaleda Zia’s unconditional release. It was decided to formulate the necessary program for that purpose.
