Kushtia-Khulna highway blockade by EB students

Islami University (EB) students blocked the Kushtia-Khulna highway as part of the nationwide ‘Bangla Blockade’ program demanding quota reforms.

They blocked the road on Sunday (July 7) around 12:15 p.m. As a result of the blockade, about 10 kilometers of traffic has been created on both sides of the road.

Earlier, the students gathered in front of the Mujib mural of the university at around 11 o’clock. Later they marched around the campus and blocked the Kushtia-Khulna highway as the main gate.

During the blockade, the students stopped the traffic by throwing tree trunks on the road and lighting them on fire. Now they are performing songs, recitations and various cultural activities on the streets.

The students said, we have come to the field to implement the ‘Bangla Blockade’ program that has been announced across the country to demand quota reforms. I will not return home until the demand is implemented.
