Many leaders and workers of Awami League have become lazy due to being in power for a long time

Awami League joint general secretary and foreign minister. Hashan Mahmud said, those under 30 years of age in Awami League politics, they have not seen the pain of being in the opposition party and the party’s struggle, they have only seen power. As a result, many leaders and workers of Awami League have become lazy due to being in power for a long time. During this time, there was an infiltration of beneficiaries in the party. The party must be freed from there. The team has to shake off the laziness and move forward.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the extended meeting of Awami League’s Rangpur division at Dreamplus Hotel and Resort in Syedpur, Nilphamari on Friday (July 5) afternoon. Awami League presidium member Shajahan Khan presided over the meeting.

The foreign minister said, ‘Awami League is consistently in power today because of Trinamool leaders and party president Sheikh Hasina. BNP-Jamaat and various evil forces worked to thwart the previous elections. They could not succeed even if they joined international circles. Rather, 81 countries and 45 international organizations have congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for forming the government.

Addressing the BNP leaders and activists, Hashan Mahmud said, ‘They are now protesting for the release of Khaleda Zia instead of protesting the fall of the government. BNP leaders are happy when he is sick. Because they want to intensify the movement on this pretext.’

Awami League Treasurer HN Ashiqur Rahman, Rangpur Divisional Organizing Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Central Member Advocate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia and Advocate Safura Begum Rumi were special guests in the meeting.

Former Culture Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, former Railway Minister Advocate Nurul Islam Sujan and State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bir Muktijodha Motahar Hossain were present.
