Narail Municipality Mayor Anjuman Ara has stood by the helpless Mosammat Nasima Begum in the case of 15th century land grabbing and destruction of a one-story building by defaming the name of Mashrafe Bin Mortuza, the whip of the National Assembly and Member of Parliament of Narail-2 Constituency.

On Saturday (June 8) afternoon, Mayor Anjuman Ara, on behalf of the Narail Municipal Council, announced the provision of a tin house as a shelter for the poor Nasima Begum’s family.

Narail Municipality Panel Mayor Kazi Zahirul Haque, Councilor Raju Ahmed, Victoria College Student Union and Chhatra League leaders and dignitaries of the area and the helpless Nasima Begum’s family were present at this time.

Mayor Ranjuman Ara said, no one told me about the torture and torture of Nasima Begum for a long time. Even Nasima’s family has not contacted. Now I came directly after receiving the news through the news. I will try to make arrangements for Nasima’s family to get proper justice and arrange to make a tin house for Nasima’s family under the open sky and provide daily necessities including rice, dal, oil, salt for sustenance.

In this regard Nasima Begum said, “I was in disbelief due to the torture of Mohammad Ullah for seven to eight months.” I didn’t know who to go to, how to do what. Even though I have given a written complaint to the police station, my case has not been taken till now. Now Mayor Apa is providing my bread and sustenance, so I pray to God that he will be well. I will form a human chain in the court premises next Tuesday to get a fair trial. I hope you will be with my family.

Meanwhile, Zahidur Rahman, personal officer of Member of Parliament Mashrafe Bin Mortuza, filed a written complaint at Narail Sadar police station on Friday (June 7) night. Later that night, a person named Mohammad Ullah was arrested, but he got bail even on a holiday.

According to the complaint in the police station, there is a dispute over the land of Mohammad Ullya with Nachima Begum near Dhopakhola intersection. The case is ongoing. But Mohammad Ullah a few days ago with his men vandalized the trees and houses on the land. At that time they introduced themselves as people of Mashrafe Bin Mortuza MP.

Zahidur Rahman, the personal officer of Mashrafe bin Mortuza, said that recently there has been an incident of vandalizing and cutting trees of a woman’s house named Nasima Begum in Dhopakhola area of ​​Narail Municipality. The MP is not aware of this matter and the criminals. I have given a written complaint to Narail Sadar police station to take legal action against those who are doing these misdeeds by defaming his name.
