Moderate rain in 6 categories, very heavy rain in two categories


The Meteorological Office has said that day and night temperatures will remain almost unchanged across the country. Also, discomfort may prevail due to excessive humidity. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere in northern Bay of Bengal. In such a situation, the Meteorological Office has predicted light to heavy rains across the country.

This information is given in the weather forecast for the next 72 hours from 9 am on Friday (June 7).

Meanwhile, the maximum 50 mm in Chittagong on Thursday. it has rained Khulna, Barisal and Rangpur received the least rainfall. Other places received light rain.

Despite rains, mild heat wave is moving over Rajshahi, Khulna, Bagerhat, Satkhira, Jessore, Barisal, Patuakhali, Jhalkathi and Barguna districts and may continue.

The weather forecast says that in most places of Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; Light to moderate rain/thundershowers with gusty winds may occur at many places in Rangpur and Chittagong divisions and at two places in Rajshahi, Dhaka and Barisal divisions. Along with this, there may be moderate to very heavy rainfall at some places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies.

Forecasting Saturday’s weather, meteorologist Hafizur Rahman said that the ongoing heat wave may continue. Day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country. Excessive humidity may cause discomfort.

He said that the maximum temperature of 37.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Khulna and Patuakhali on Thursday.
