Mostafiz’s 2 wickets in the high scoring match, Dambulla’s loss

Mostafizur Rahman’s team Dambulla Sixers lost to Jaffna Kings by 30 runs in a high-scoring match in the Lankan Premier League.

Batting first, Jaffna built a mountain of 218 runs for 5 wickets. Opener Pathum Nishanka played an innings of 88 runs off 53 balls alone. He hit 9 fours and 3 sixes in a devastating innings. Besides, 57 off 30 balls comes from Avishka Fernando’s bat.

Mustafiz took 2 wickets with 39 runs in 4 overs in the innings of Ranbanya. He dismissed Kushal Mendis and Charith Asalanka.

In response, opener Riza Hendricks scored 80 runs off 50 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes, but Mustafiz’s Jaffna could not chase that many target runs. Their innings stopped at 188 for 8 wickets.
