Mostafizur is the chief consultant of the Smart Bangladesh Task Force

Recently retired senior secretary Md. Mostafizur Rahman.

A notification was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday (July 4) appointing him for two years under the contract.

Mostafizur Rahman went on post-retirement leave (PRL) while he was the senior secretary of the public security department of the Ministry of Home Affairs on May 24. A day before his retirement, he was made senior secretary.

Mostafizur Rahman was informed in the notification of the appointment of the chief consultant, according to section 49 of the ‘Government Employment Act, 2018’, he will be given the salary and allowances of the rank of senior secretary to the government and other benefits of the prime minister’s office for the next two years from the date of joining, subject to the suspension of his unused post-retirement leave and related benefits. ‘Principal Consultant’ has been appointed to the Executive Committee of Smart Bangladesh Task Force. He has been attached to the Ministry of Public Administration to fulfill his duties in this position.

Mostafizur Rahman is a 10th batch officer of BCS administration cadre. Prior to the Public Security Department, he served as the Secretary of the Ministry of Lands.
