Now Benazir’s duplex house is seized


The duplex house of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed in Rupganj of Narayanganj has been seized. A team comprising the district administration and the District Anti-Corruption Commission seized the house on Saturday (July 6) afternoon.

Anti-Corruption Commission Narayanganj Integrated Office Deputy Director Moinul Hasan Roshni confirmed the truth to Jago News and said that the house has been taken over by the government under the direction of the court.

According to local and related sources, the house was built in Rupganj around 2022. Benazir Ahmed used to visit this house occasionally while he was in the country. Along with a caretaker, two dogs are kept in the bungalow house for round-the-clock security.

Now Benazir's duplex house is seized

In view of the earlier application of the ACC, on June 12, the court seized a large amount of Benazir’s assets in the third round. This bungalow was also in that list. Then the court appointed the receiver to the Deputy Commissioner to take care of the house. The value of the bungalow is around 10 crore rupees.
