One person has died in the last 24 hours due to dengue infection across the country. Due to this, 42 people died due to dengue this year.

Meanwhile, 43 people have been admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours. With this, 236 dengue patients are admitted in various public and private hospitals of the country including Dhaka.

According to the Department of Health, 16 of the 43 people who were admitted to the hospital due to dengue infection from Monday (24 June) to Tuesday 8 am are from the Dhaka City Corporation area. Besides, 27 people have been affected outside Dhaka. Among them, Chittagong has 13 people.

281 people died of dengue in 2022. In December, the last month of that year, 27 people died. At the same time, 62 thousand 382 people were admitted to hospital due to dengue infection in the year under discussion.

In 2020, dengue infection was not seen much during the corona epidemic, but in 2021, 28 thousand 429 people were infected with dengue throughout the country. In the same year, 105 people died due to dengue throughout the country.

According to the information of the Department of Health, 281 people died of dengue in 2022, 105 people in 2021, seven people in 2020 and 179 people in 2019.
