Order to increase surveillance in diagnostic centers in Chittagong


Civil surgeon of the district to increase surveillance in diagnostic centers in Chittagong. Mohammad Elias Chowdhury has been instructed by the Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Samant Lal Sen.

He gave this order while visiting the Metro Diagnostic Center at Golpahar Mor in Chittagong on Saturday (July 6) afternoon. This information was informed in the notification sent by the Ministry of Health.

According to the notification, the health minister found various discrepancies in the metro diagnostic center at Golpahar intersection in Chittagong. The investigation showed that the diagnostic center does not have the capacity to perform diagnosis in the endoscopy and colonoscopy department. The oxygen cylinder was empty. There were not enough air tubes. There was also no proper bed for endoscopy. Even emergency medicine like anesthesia and no doctors on duty were there.

Seeing this, the health minister immediately ordered the endoscopy and colonoscopy to be stopped in the diagnostic center. Dr. Abu Hossain, director of the hospital and clinic branch of the Department of Health for further investigation. Moinul ordered Ahsan. Besides Chittagong District Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Ilyas ordered Chowdhury to increase surveillance in diagnostic centers in Chittagong.

During the visit, the Director General of the Department of Health Professor Dr. Abul Basar Mohammad Khurshid Alam, Director of the Department of Health (Hospital) Dr. Abu Hossain Md. Moinul Ahsan, civil surgeon of Chittagong district. Mohammad Ilyas Chowdhury and other health department officials were present.
