Passenger movement on Hanif flyover: Case against 19 buses


Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s traffic-war department has taken legal action against 19 buses and dumped two buses due to passenger movement on Hanif flyover in the capital.

On Tuesday (June 4), a team led by AC (traffic-jatrabari) Tanzil Ahmed, under the direction of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic-Warri Division, Mohammad Ashraf Imam, raided the Hanif flyover and took legal action against the buses plying around.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohammad Ashraf Imam said that the team traffic wary department is working with the goal that the citizens of Dhaka city can travel smoothly on the road and return home comfortably. Vehicles from 40 districts including 21 districts of South Bengal pass through this section. The core of the Mayor Mohammad Hanif flyover is located within this section. Often different transports ply on this flyover. As traffic congestion increases, accidents also increase.

He said, the operation of the traffic-war department will continue. Drivers will not be able to shuttle passengers on the Hanif flyover. In case of violation, legal action will be taken against them.
