Police claim to get sensational information on remand


Four employees of the food supply company SA Corporation arrested in connection with the rape of a young woman in the Udayan Express train have given sensational information on remand.

On Thursday (July 4) four people were sent to jail after being handed over to the court after questioning.

Earlier, they were brought to the Chittagong Railway Police Station for questioning from July 2 on the order of the court.

Chittagong Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Shahidul Islam told Jago News that during the remand interrogation, they gave some sensational information about the rape. Admitted to rape charges. This information cannot be disclosed for the sake of investigation.

Earlier, a 7-day remand application was made to the court for questioning the four arrested in the rape incident. The court of Chittagong Senior Judicial Magistrate Nurul Harun granted a two-day remand after the hearing.

On June 25, a young woman was raped in the Udayan Express train bound for Chittagong from Sylhet. Four employees of the SA Corporation who supplied food on that train were accused of rape.

The young victim accused four people and filed a case with the Chittagong Railway Police Station. Later, the police arrested three persons but one accused remained absconding. The next day, police raided Noakhali’s Begamganj and arrested the absconding accused.
