Portugal’s big win with Ronaldo’s double

What club football, what national team! Cristiano Ronaldo continues to show his old bones. The 39-year-old star footballer scored a pair of goals in a FIFA international friendly match against Ireland on Tuesday night. Portugal won with a big margin of 3-0 goals.

This could be Ronaldo’s last international match at home. The legend remembered the farewell to this footballer! Portugal won by playing football in the preparation phase of the Euro.

Portugal went ahead with the goal of Joao Felix in the 18th minute of the match. He got the ball from a short corner and put it into the net with great skill. Four minutes later, Ronaldo would have scored the first goal. His free kick goes just wide of the far post.

However, Ireland could not stop Ronaldo. At the beginning of the second half (50 minutes) the five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored an eye-catching goal with his left foot. He scored another goal after 10 minutes. This made CRSeven’s record 130 goals for the country in 207 international matches.

Rumor has it, Ronaldo will say goodbye to international football after playing this year’s Euro in Germany. However, his teammate Ruben Neves dismissed such rumours.

Speaking to Irish broadcaster RTE, Neves said of Ronaldo, ‘Unbelievable! I can’t describe how it feels to play with him. He scored two goals today. The preparations for the Euros have been completed very well. So our expectations are very high.

We all know that he is ready to give 200 percent for the national team. We definitely want more goals from him – added Neves.

Portugal will play in ‘F’ group in Euro. Their first match was on 18 June, against the Czech Republic. Then there are matches against Türkiye and Georgia.
