Quota cancellation and DU teachers’ movement supported by Democracy Manch

Democracy Forum, the anti-government political alliance, has announced its full support for the two ongoing movements to cancel the certification scheme and quota cancellation of public university teachers across the country.

The announcement was made by Jonaid Saki, the head of Mass Solidarity Movement, who coordinated the stage at a rally in front of the National Press Club on Friday (July 5) noon.

He said, ‘Students are protesting for quota reforms, teachers are protesting for canceling the Pratyaya scheme. All movements are ours. The opposition party is not conspiring in these students’ movement. This teacher is ours, this student is ours, the people of this country are ours. I am and will be in every movement of them. All the opposition parties should be united and the government should be overthrown through mass movement and mass uprising.’

This rally was held in protest against the various MoUs against the interests of the country executed during the Prime Minister’s visit to India under the initiative of the Democracy Forum. After the rally, the protest march ended at Purana Paltan Junction.
