Rain may reduce from today


It has been raining all over the country since last June due to the influence of monsoon. This rain will continue throughout the monsoon season. Meanwhile, even though it has been raining all over the country since Eid, the weather office has predicted that the rain may reduce from today. Along with this, day and night temperature may increase across the country today (Saturday).

The weather forecast on Saturday (July 6) said that there may be light to moderate rain/thundershowers with gusty winds at many places in Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and some places in Dhaka and Khulna divisions. Along with this, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall at some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.

Day and night temperatures may increase slightly across the country on this day.

Forecasting Sunday and Monday, meteorologist Bajlur Rashid said that the daytime temperature may increase slightly in the northern part of the country on these two days and it may remain almost unchanged elsewhere. Night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

Many places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and some places of Dhaka and Khulna divisions may experience light to moderate rain/thunder with gusty winds temporarily. Along with this, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall at some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.

It is reported that the axis of the monsoon winds extends through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and central parts of Bangladesh to Assam. An extension of it extends to the northern Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong over North Bay of Bengal.

Rajshahi recorded the highest temperature in the country at 32.8 degrees Celsius on Friday. Maximum 125 mm of rain has fallen in Rajshahi. The maximum temperature in Dhaka was 31.5 degrees Celsius that day.
