Real Madrid announced to play in the Club World Cup

Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of the club, said that Real Madrid will not participate in the Club World Cup to be held in the United States next year. The coach who won the Champions League a few days ago surprised the world with this announcement.

Ancelotti cited finances as the reason. The coach said, ‘They won’t get Real Madrid’s value for one match in the whole tournament.’ Apart from Real Madrid, this Italian also commented that some other clubs will not play.

After this announcement, the Spanish giants took Uturn again. The club said in an official statement that they will play in the 32-team tournament next year. The statement also noted that Carlo Ancelotti’s interview was misrepresented.

The Real Madrid coach made it clear, ‘There was a misunderstanding about his comments about taking part in the Club World Cup. The words were not interpreted the way I meant them. It was never a thought that we would not play in the Club World Cup. I think, by participating in this tournament, Real Madrid will have a chance to win another big title.’

Real Madrid Club has won the World Cup title five times. Last won in 2022. Manchester City won the FIFA Club World Cup last year.
