Record number of women MPs won in UK elections


The Labor Party has won a landslide in the UK elections. Keir Starmer is going to be the Prime Minister of the country. But this time the House of Commons is getting a record number of women legislators.

In the results so far, the Labor Party has won 410 seats. Conservative Party got 117 seats. However, 242 women MPs have won the elections so far.

However, there has been a gradual increase in the number of women legislators winning in the last few elections. Earlier, 220 women MPs were elected in the UK elections in 2019. Before that, 207 people became MPs in 2017 and 196 people won in 2015.
