Rishi Sunak has to leave Downing Street within 24 hours

The Labor Party won the general election in the United Kingdom. As a result, party leader Kier Starmer is going to be the country’s next prime minister.

According to UK rules, there is very little time to form the next government after the election results are announced.

According to a BBC report, the current Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will have to leave No. 10 Downing Street within 24 hours.

However, this leader of the Conservative Party will have to leave power through a process. Rishi Sunak must first submit his resignation letter to the king. The King will then call on Starmer to form a government.

According to the latest published results, the Labor Party has won 398 seats. Conservative Party got 107 seats. Liberal Democratic Party got 67 seats.

Out of the total 650 seats in the UK Parliament, a single party needs to win 326 seats to form a government.
