Smart APAR to be launched soon: Public Administration Minister


Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain said that instead of the conventional ACR, the smart APAR system based on work plan will be launched soon to appoint qualified officials to the right place. The minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at the certificate distribution ceremony of the trainees at the Beam Foundation auditorium on Sunday (July 7) afternoon.

He said that human resources management will be smart as a result of implementation of Gems, a digital platform built under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Administration. Govt Vacancy list is easily available through JAMES. As a result, it will be easier for the government to take decisions in the recruitment and posting process.

The minister said that instead of the conventional ACR system in performance management, smart APAR system based on work plan is going to be introduced soon. As a result, it will be easier to appoint the right person to the right place.

Farhad Hossain said that the information and data of the training given to make the government employees efficient and competent in building Smart Bangladesh can be easily obtained from this system. We hope that government employee management system will play an important role in building Sonar Bangla.

Smart APAR to be launched soon: Public Administration Minister

To meet the challenge of building a smart Bangladesh by 2041, government officials and employees should increase the use of modern technology.

Training organized for inclusion of information on Organizational Structure or Organogram of Ministries/Departments and Subordinate Organizations through Organization Management System (OMS) under Ministry of Public Administration’s Government Employee Management System or Government Employee Management System (GEMS-GEMS) has been completed. 300 officers/employees of 150 organizations participated in this five-day training in 15 batches from last May 5 to June 6.

Senior Secretary of Public Administration Ministry Mohammad Mezbah Uddin Chowdhury presided over the event. Heads of various departments under the Ministry of Public Administration and senior officials of the Ministry of Public Administration were present on the occasion.
