The International Food and Beverage Fair has ended in Malaysia


The three-day international food and beverage fair has ended in Malaysia. The fair is called ‘Food and Drinks Malaysia by Sial’ from Tuesday to Thursday at the Maitech Convention Center in the country’s capital, Kuala Lumpur.

22 countries including Bangladesh participated in the fair. 330 booths and a special international lounge showcase the products. The fair was inaugurated by Malaysia’s Deputy Minister for Plantation and Commodities, Datuk Chan Fung Hin.

Bangladesh Food and Beverage Company Pran Foods participated in the fair under the supervision and cooperation of Bangladesh High Commission. Apart from the designated booths at the fair, various food and beverage products of Bangladesh along with seven other countries (Canada, Ukraine, Vietnam, United Kingdom, Pakistan, Thailand and Australia) are displayed in the international lounge.

On the opening day of the fair, Malaysia’s Deputy Minister Datuk Chan Fung Hin and Sabah State Industrial Development Minister Datuk Fung Jin Zhe visited the Bangladesh corner of the international lounge and the booth of Bangladeshi products. On the closing day Bangladeshi stall was visited by High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Malaysia. Shamim Ahsan.

This trade conference and fair is organized every year to connect with industrial entrepreneurs and economic leaders in search of global markets, business consensus, strengthening business with innovative solutions.

Active participation of Bangladesh in various international fairs on a regular basis under the initiative of Bangladesh High Commission will play a role in creating opportunities to export Bangladeshi products to Malaysia and ASEAN countries.
