The madrasa teacher fell to his death at work


A madrasa teacher named Hafez Manjurul Haque (55) fell to his death at his workplace. The incident took place at ‘Khandkar Abdur Razzak Dakhil Madrasa’ of Balali Baghmara in Tiyashree Union of Madan Upazila on Wednesday (June 12).

Deceased Manjurul Haque was the assistant teacher of the Ibtedayi branch of that madrasa. He is the son of deceased Taher Ali of Balijura village of Kendua upazila.

It is known that he fell in the bathroom of the madrasa. Later died on the spot due to heart attack. His sudden death cast a shadow of grief among his colleagues and students.

Jonaid, the son of the dead teacher said, I came to the madrasa in search of my father. When asked to the super, he said that the father went to the bathroom. I went to the bathroom and saw my father lying unconscious. Later, when he screamed, the super rescued Baba and brought him to a room in the madrasa. The village doctor then declared the father dead.

Meanwhile, the teacher’s wife said, “My husband was ill.” He asked for leave from the super and did not get leave.

Madrasa Superintendent Bajlur Rashid said, he did not apply for any leave from me. I came to know through his son that he is already sick.

Madan Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Jahangir Alam said that a madrasa teacher died at work. However, I have heard complaints from family members about the holiday. I have not received any complaint directly from the family in this regard.
