The Minister of State for Power ordered an investigation committee to determine the cause


State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has ordered an investigation committee to determine the real cause of the electrocution incident in Bogra Rath Yatra.

This information was informed in a press release of the Ministry of Electricity, Energy and Mineral Resources on Sunday (July 7) night.

Five people were killed and 9 people were injured and are under treatment in the hospital due to the connection of 11 KV line with the chariot during the Rath Yatra of Sanatan religious devotees.

The Minister of State for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources has expressed deep grief and sorrow in this incident. In a condolence message, expressing deep condolences to the family members of the victims, the state minister said that although the Rath Yatra is peaceful in Bogra every year, the incident of Ever was shocking.

Wishing the injured people a speedy recovery, he said, “I am shocked by this unexpected incident.” Directing an investigation committee to determine the real cause, he said that efforts to increase public awareness should be increased.
