A young woman named Golappi brought the newborn to Thakurgaon General Hospital complaining of difficulty in breathing. He disappeared after a while. After that, the child was left without a guardian. Despite many searches, his parents were not found.

The last newborn was placed in the house of a childless couple. The newborn was handed over to Bappi Islam and his wife Morsheda Yasmin at the Child Welfare Board meeting at Thakurgaon District Commissioner’s conference room on Thursday. This couple is a resident of Goalpara Mohalla in Thakurgaon.

Deputy Commissioner Mahbubur Rahman said, about 8-10 applications came to take the child. After reviewing all the applications, the Child Welfare Board unanimously handed over the newborn to the couple Bappi Islam and Morsheda Yasmin for care under Section 9 (2) B of the Children Act, 2013.
