The roads of Dhaka will be closed during the Rath Yatra

Jagannath Dev’s Rath Yatra, one of the religious festivals of Sanatan Dharma followers, is starting from Sunday (July 7). The festival will end on July 15 with a reverse chariot procession. Various programs have been organized in different temples on this occasion. International Krishna Bhavanamrit Sangh (ISCON) has organized an 8-day event in Dhaka.

This information was informed by the media and public relations department of DMP on Saturday (July 6).

According to DMP, the main Rath Yatra will start from Swamibagh ISKCON temple in the capital at 3 o’clock on Sunday and will end at Dhakeswari temple after circling various roads. Ulto Rath Yatra will start from Dhakeshwari temple at 3 pm on July 15 and will end at Swamibagh ISKCON temple after circling various roads.

From Swamibagh Ashram (ISKCON, Dhaka) at Swamibagh Road → Jaykali Mandir Mor → Ittefaq Mor → Shapla Chatwar → Dainik Bangla Mor → Rajuk Crossing → Gulistan → Golapshah Shrine → Police Headquarters → Government Employees Hospital → High Court Shrine → Doel Chatwar → Central Shaheed Minar→ Jagannath Hall → Palashi → Dhakeshwari National Temple will end.

DMP has requested the vehicles plying on these roads to use alternative roads on the occasion of Rath Yatra.
