The Swiss-England match was tied at 1-1 in extra time

With Mbolo’s goal, the Swiss assumed that they were going to win against the English. But Bakayo Saka’s stunning goal brought the English back to parity and sent the match into extra time. The scheduled 90 minutes ended in a 1-1 draw.

The English continued their poor performance in the tournament in this match. They couldn’t attack much like the Swiss inside the D-box.

The Swiss got the desired goal in the 75th minute of the match. Until then, they kept playing under pressure. Mbolo scored with his left foot past the defender from Ndoe’s cross. He was the last Swiss player to score against England.

England fell behind after a goal, Gareth Southgate came on as a replacement for Luke Shock. That changed the English. England equalized in the 81st minute with a great long-range shot by Bukayo Saka. If no more chances were created towards the end of the match, the regular time game ended in a 1-1 draw.
