Three organizations gave 8 crores to the Labor Welfare Fund


Three private companies of the country have handed over a check of 8.32 million taka to the Workers’ Profit Participation Fund (WPPF) of Bangladesh Sramik Kalyan Foundation under the Ministry of Labor and Employment.

On Thursday (July 4), State Minister for Labor and Employment said through a function of Sramik Kalyan Foundation at the Secretariat. The delegation of Walton Hitech Industries Plc, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Company and Fair Electronics Limited handed over the check to Nazrul Islam Chowdhury.

Among them, Walton handed over a check of Tk 3 crore 93 lakh 65 thousand 446, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Tk 3 crore 36 lakh 82 thousand 718 and Fair Electronics Tk 1 crore 1 lakh 90 thousand 945.

Thanking the three companies, the Minister of State for Labor said that the main objective of the WPPF is to recognize the contribution of the workers, improve their standard of living and increase their share in the ownership and management of the company.

He said that your efforts and activities will be helpful in building the Sonar Bangla of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the developed, prosperous and smart Bangladesh of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
