Titas gas supply stopped in Mymensingh-Netrakona


Titus gas supply to households in Mymensingh and Netrakona has been stopped due to pipe bursting during construction work.

Titus customers in Mymensingh and Netrakona cities are not getting gas from 11 pm on Monday (June 24). They have suffered greatly.

Earlier on Monday afternoon, Dhaka-Mymensingh Titus gas transmission pipe was damaged in Narayanpur village of Trishal upazila of Mymensingh.

Titas gas supply stopped in Mymensingh-Netrakona

It is known that the gas line was hit while piling the building of a company. It breaks the pipe. Gas supply was stopped in two districts since night due to leakage of gas through the holes.

Rabiul Islam, a resident of Mymensingh city, told Jago News that there is no gas since Tuesday morning. This is causing cooking problems. I don’t even know when the gas situation will be normal.

Mymensingh Titus Gas Office Manager (Operation) Himton Pal said, Our team is trying since Monday night to fix the leakage. For safety, work should be started after complete gas emptying. We are working according to that rule. Hope to be able to supply gas soon.

TITAS DGM Narayan Chandra told De Jago News that the pipe of the highly sensitive gas transmission line has ruptured. Repairing it is a very complicated process. Authorities have started the repair work of the transmission line. It is not possible to say when the connection will be normal.
